Creative Health Space (CHS)
The Creative Health space (CHS) is an innovation, event, and meeting space near the Medical District of Chiang Mai near Nimmanhaemin Road and Suan Dok Hospital. CHS is fully equipped with a sound system and flipcharts, a large LCD screen (project on request), access to a kitchen, a creative wall and can be configured very flexible.
The room can be set up for small groups of 6-8 people or meetings, workshops and classes for up to 40-60 people. Past events including lectures, dance classes, a TEDx event, art classes, product development workshop, social meetings. The space is available for free or at low cost for not-for-profit or non-commercial events related to health, education, medical innovation, meetings related to social activities, etc.
CHS is located on the 2nd floor of ChivaCare Medical Clinic but has a separate entrance. Opening hours, 8:30-8pm. Weekends 8:30-5pm. Public holidays and later times on request and at additional charge.
The space is available for free or at low cost for not-for-profit or non-commercial events related to health, education, medical innovation, meetings related to social activities, etc.
Typical rate: 9:00-5pm: a donation of 500-1000 Baht for small groups (in some cases this is waived for educational, NGOs or events benefitting Chiang Mai community). For evening events, a small additional charge may be applied to cover the cost of one of our staff. For large groups, please contact CHS to discuss (set up, cleaning, materials…).
For commercial events or events with a fee, a charge will be applied (typically 20%).
Water, coffee, and tea are available for free (small groups) or small charge for large groups. For catering options, please enquire.
Select events at CHS include; a workshop on Neurofeedback as prevention of cognitive decline, weekly Parkinson’s Exercise Class, Neuroscience Research Roundtable, Health Benefits of Chocolate, Art & Craft Workshops. CHS also hosts the Chiang Mai Design Awards and TEDx development team and forum for the Chiang Mai HealthTek community.

ChivaCare is having an emergency care training on February 2nd, 2018. Meeting with two paramedics from the UK and specialists and doctors CMU Hospital emergence response team to learn more about Emergency Care Essentials that you should know! Practical advise on Burns – treating and dressing, Faints – what to do/possible causes, Possible signs of stroke, Basic wound care advice, Possible signs of an MI, General falls – sprains, strains & fractures, Alls and head injuries, Basic life support, The recovery position also show/practise CPR – how and what to do in a day to day situation. Advise on how Thailand works as in the emergency and medical situation and what advise they would give.

ChivaCare Creative Health Space, we hosted a small TEDx event, TEDxChiangMaiWomen 2018. Our creative health space is available to Chiang Mai community at low cost or free of charge for events like this, workshop and activities. The TEDxChiangMaiWomen event brought together almost 100 people of all ages, from students to retirees. Topics included how to prevent climate change and flooding in our cities, new ideas on dementia treatment, transgender issues, Chiang Mai city and environmental issues, personal development, and sustainability. We were happy to support and host this creative event at our medical center and community space. It was truly inspiring.

Chiang Mai Connect by NTCC event with our host ChivaCare. The networking event feature special curated talks from expert speakers on ‘Healthy Living, Good Aging’. The Aging Society concerns the long-term, holistic approach of how individuals, businesses, and governments alike react and co-create innovations for better-living.

Scientific research shows effectiveness of Neurofeedback in improving memory, attention, focus and processing speed. The same cognitive functions are compromised in other neurological disorders; ADHD, autism, chronic depression and anxiety disorders. Effectiveness of neurofeedback to improve cognitive functions have been conducted and a large volume of studies were published in the last 30 years.
